| Pre-Assembly of the precast elements |
|
The pre-assembly phase begins with the unloading of the precast sections from the extendable platforms and then ends with the execution of the vertical joints; the different tower levels are set up and ready to be lifted by the main crane for the last assembly phase. The pre-assembly process is described in the following infographics:
Arrival of the precast elements, from section 0-20 meters, which are placed directly on top of the foundation. This section is made up of 4 or 5 parts depending on the base diameter of the tower. ![]() The rest of the voussoirs, from section 0-20, are placed correctly in their final emplacement, ensuring the final geometry with topographical laser measurements. ![]() The precast elements, from section 20-40 meters, are temporarily placed on auxiliaring trestles to have a support until the vertical joints of this section are done and before it is raised to its final position. ![]() The rest of the intermediate sections are done in the same way. Section 40-60 (80 meter tower) Sections 40-60 y 60-80 (100 meter tower) Sections 40-60, 60-80 y 80-100 (120 meter tower). Generally, the upper tower level will not require pre-assembly in the site since it is transported in one piece from the factory. ![]() Once all the vertical joints are finished, the complete sections of the tower remain stable and ready waiting for the final erection with the main crane. ![]() |
